Almojábana Fritters (Buñuelos)
|1 pinch cinnamon|
|Zest of one orange|
|2 Tbsp ground walnut|
|1 cup flour of “Almojabana Lareña”|
|2 cups hot water|
|2 Tbsp brown sugar|
In a deep container add the flour and mix slowly in water until you get a thick and semi-firm mixture similar to fried fritters. Add the rest of the ingredients.
In order to cook the inside of the fritter well while keeping golden and toasted on the outside, fry in plenty of oil at medium temperature. To fry, take the mixture with a spoon a let it slide in the oil. Drain well and bathe it in orange syrup.
